Out @ Work Kamp
On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June 2003 the NZCTU held its first ever Out @ Work Kamp for Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Intersex and Bisexual workers.About 45 people participated over the course of the two days from 9 Unions (AUS, ASTE, CTU, EPMU, NZNO, NZEI, PPTA, PSA, SFWU). Participants came from Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Christchurch and Wellington.
The programme provided an opportunity for people to get together and get to know one another, talk about issues, understand those issues as Union issues, think about the role of their own Union and the Union movement in relation to supporting LGBTI workers, organising and building the capacity of Unions and planning for the network and the future.
Read a PPTA delegates impressions of the kamp: What I Did at Kamp.
The following worksheets were written up during the course of the programme and provide a useful record of all the fabulous work done by participants, the goals for the future and exciting ideas that now need to be implemented.
